Main Activities:

Meetings and missions will be organised to facilitate this process. The project will develop ad hoc guidelines, manuals, training materials etc.

  • Identification and selection of national experts from countries in the region to create an Expert Team to share lessons learnt and best practices on CBRN import/export control (including transit and trans-shipment monitoring).

  • Identification of relevant national agencies (import/export regulation, licensing authorities, military establishments, research agencies, public and private organizations etc.) with responsibilities in the field of import/export and assessment of participating countries’ needs (if not done before the project).

  • Development and implementation of a regional training/mentoring service to train the national experts of the Expert Team on CBRN import/export control (including transit and trans-shipment monitoring). The experts will be provided with adequate materials and technical supports for training (including access to Multimedia Platform on CBRN risk mitigation that hosts all tools, exercises and other relevant information).

  • Organize training/mentoring sessions in the participating countries of the region through which the expert team will train relevant national experts on CBRN import/export control (including transit and trans-shipment monitoring)
